Stone Dri Clothing Sale
Stone Dri is a British heritage brand that has roots dating back as far as the 1940's. Started by four brothers, the stone brothers from Salford, Manchester the brand is still remembered in those areas today.
Joseph Stone & Co Ltd was the trading name for the brand and as well as manufacturing in their Salford factory they had over 100 stores throughout the North West and the midlands of the UK. In the early days the brand was predominantly outerwear. The trench coat was one of their early successes and was included in an advert in a Manchester United and City match day program in the 1953 season. This has been used in the relaunch and new marketing campaign.
By the 1970's the stone-Dri shops had been bought out by Fosters menswear and Stone-Dri the brand lost its identity and direction in the fashion world.
In 2002 an outerwear manufacture Joel Brown, based in Altrincham just down the road from the original success brought the rights to Stone-Dri and began reinventing it as a high end designer label. The brand still revolves around outerwear but is now a complete range including t-shirts, polo shirts, shirts, sweats and shorts. Modern materials with authentic designs are intertwined with a new vibrant and individual feel. A story is told through each range weather it’s with the ladie terrace feel of the design, the technical look of the cloth and zips etc or the in season fashion of the stripe t shirt or tweed fisherman hooded jacket. The brand is still finding it’s true direction but with each aspect, be it ladie, terrace, heritage, technical there is a great appeal to any guy who wants a garment that will stand out from the rest, have class and an ora about it.
